This heat shield plate table was created specifically for the Iwatani Junior Compact Burner (CB-JCB). When a single burner, such as a junior compact burner, is used to cook something, like a frying pan, iron plate, or mestin, a lot of radiant heat is produced from both the burner and the heat source that is placed on top. This heat shield table stops the gas cylinder from receiving radiant heat, preventing an explosion from the gas cylinder heating up.
